Everything in nature has a charge or polarity associated with it. Opposite polarity makes plaque (+) adhere to tooth surfaces (-).
The Ionic Toothbrush temporarily reverses the polarity of tooth surfaces from (-) to (+), thus repelling plaque away from teeth and toward the toothbrush head (-).
